Image
Hello everyone!  I hope you are all doing amazingly well no matter which part of the world you are in.  Here spring is finally showing it's face today after making an early April fool's joke on us on Friday with a random snow fall!  And I'm talking HUGE snowflakes coming down just like you would have during Christmas time... YIKES.  I can't take that snow ANYMORE lol  I really want to be able to let go of bundling up and wearing so much clothes. After being sick for the month of February, I have spent the month of March playing creatively!  And creating more content.  I really hope that you are enjoying that extra content.  If you are not why are you not a subscriber :)  You can find my channel here   You can actually find the video of the journaling out of the box where I made the freebie for you.  I created this image with words as well as free from words.  If you want the images just right click on them.  Please use them only for your personal use and don't shar

March 2023 Freebie and update

Oh my... I have not published here since June last year!  That's a long time.   I had such great plans in 2022 but I have to admit that what went on was even better than what I had planned.  However, I couldn't keep up with it all ( YouTube , Patreon , Etsy , my website , Instagram , my newsletter, the blog etc.) something had to give. Especially since I also have a full time job.  If it hadn't been for the full time job I'm sure that I would have been able to maintain more social content but with a 40h job and the project that I had going on it was impossible to do it all. If you haven't heard I bought a house that I converted into an apartment (to be rented) and a studio.  The studio is the basement part of the house and it has a garage, large room, a smaller room, a bathroom and a furnace room.  I have transformed the large room as my Etsy /office area and the smaller room into my studio/filming/craft space.  The garage is where I store all my Etsy items but I

The newsletter has been sent out!  YAY.  I got very worried this month that I wasn't going to make one up because my inspiration felt like it had taken a break.... I had a lot of fun playing outside however because it's been beautiful here without being super hot.  However my plants do need a lot of watering. That might be one of the reason that I wasn't too inspired to be sitting in my studio working.  But as many artist mention it if you sit down usually inspiration will just come.  And that's exactly what happened. I made 2 freebies for you all.  I hope you will enjoy them.  You can just right click on the images and save them on your computer. Don't forget these are for your personal use and are not to be shared with others.  Send them along if they want to have the freebies. If you want more freebies don't forget to register to my newsletter, you can do this on my website here:  www.craftingvicky.com.  I also have been giving freebies to all my Patreons fr

I hope you are all doing well and that you have wonderful weather as we have been having here. It is as warm as summer days right now and after a cold week last week I'm very happy with this change.  I'm looking forward to gardening soon.  As soon as the nights get warmer I should be able to get some fresh fine herbs!  YUM!!!!  And this year I will be planting a lot of beans because I have had a lot of success last year in the greenstock towers!  I might share some pictures of this either here or in my newsletter. The nice weather inspired the drawing of this month.  It's still much too early to see dragonflies but they will be coming soon I guess.  I used one of my photo painty paper backgrounds to make the freebie that I am sharing with you all today.  You can just right click on the image and save it to your computer.  Please remember that this is for your own personal use and you should not share the image, send people over here for it :)  I have also sent out yesterd

Today I have released the 2nd newsletter from my website.  If you are not subscribed you are missing out on some pretty cute freebies :)  Just thought I would mention it.  If you are looking to subscribe you can find it here:  www.craftingvicky.com   I hope that it's starting to look like spring were you are.  I feel the excitement when I go out in the morning and I can hear the bird signing!  I just feels so very good.  I'm also longing to be able to start my garden.  It's still too early here in Montréal but it's coming, you can sense it in the air. I did a bunch of super fun background on photo paper using some alcohol inks for my Patreons .  And I figured it would be amazing to make some freebies using those backgrounds.  Especially since they really felt like spring time. I made a sheet of them for the newsletter and some other ones that are exclusive to my Patreons but I also wanted to include one on my blog for all of you folks!  If you want it just right click

Card toppers

If you watch my videos or if you have been reading my blog for awhile you would know that I really love to recycle.  And I also love getting playing cards because I use them as journaling cards in my journals or I can make some altered playing cards for ATC(artist trading cards). When I see beautiful backgrounds or images I can't help but think of doing some cards with them.  This is what I have done today in my video .   Here is the series of cards that I have made.  I have to admit to being quite proud of how they turned out. To make these cards I used some of the playing cards that can be found in sets available here in my Etsy store:   https://etsy.me/3qo2SKe The sentiments come from a digital set that I have available here:   https://etsy.me/36f4EGr I hope you will find these to be inspirational for you. Have a wonderful day and week :)

Easter cards with Inloveart products

Today I get to share with you all some Easter cards that I made.  The YouTube video is here . I really love the beautiful set of paper.  It's so soft.  Perfect for spring.  And I used a stamp and die cut set this time around for the image.  I don't often use stamps because I find that it takes me a long time to color them but these were super easy and quick.   I should start stamping images ahead of the time I need to use them and color them so that I can then just be ready when I make cards.  This being said I often like to color the image based on the color of the papers that I will use... dilemmas :)  Here is the 1st card: The addition of the little pearl next to the sentiment were I think the best thing to make it pop!  Got to love all the layers.  Told you the paper is fabulous. Here is the 2nd card: For this one I used some super pretty white seam binding to complete the layout.  I really love how they all turned out.  I'm ready for spring now! Here is the link to al
