Recycling and having fun

Image
Hi everyone!  I hope that you are having a fabulous NEW YEAR's EVE.  I spent today having fun and just playing and using some recycling. I have been watching lots of videos on Youtube and wanting to play with new techniques and finally got around to it during the holidays.  I have put some paint on newspapers that I got from my friend Monique Van Dijk to wrap the fab canvas that I purchased from her. I also recycled a bunch of toilet paper rolls :)  Yup it's a great use for all those little rolls!!!  And with a family of 6 I can honestly say that we go through LOTS. You can find the video of the flip through on my Youtube channel here.  And you can purchase my little album in my etsy store here I have used a lot of digi images that I had from Sassy Cheryl.  I went with a theme of flowers because the title of the book is Life in full bloom.  The sentiments on top of the pages are from  Create with TLC .  The ones that are on the tags are stamps from Dylusions. The good news is that with this cute little make using  Easter Buddies  I finally finished the calendar that I was making for my grandmother!!!  I was missing the month of March and I figured that this cutie would be perfect for it since Easter is in March in 2016. The base of this calendar page was a cereal box and you can see some of the writting through the paint but I think it adds a nice element without having the book paper!  The paper is all a collage of papers from my stash as well as some purple washi tape because I wanted to bring some more of the purple from her dress to the right hand side. I colored the image with my copics and I fussy cut her out.  I really love how cheerful this turned out to be but with this cutie I don't think it could hav

Last minute Christmas gift ideas

Image
Hello everyone!  OMG I must be out of my mind.... I have so much stuff to do and yet I manage to add more to my pile of things to do.... why you ask?!?  Well just because I figure it won't take me that long... and it will be fun... BUT does it go that way?!?  well not really lol it always ends up being longer than expected and more effort than planned but I do end up with a nice result (most of the time) So this is what happened to me here.  I purchased some Christmas stockings for my colleagues to decorate the office.  Of course I purchased the real type of stockings so once they are hung... well you kinda have to put stuff in them. So I was thinking and thinking and thinking some more about what to do about that.  I figured I would buy a little chocolate ferrero pack for each but that's already 7$+ as well as the stockings.... so couldn't do much more otherwise I'm purchasing too much.  So I figured HEY Christmas is about making stuff... so I can make something!

I also added some little transparent butterflies that I had from a fellow crafter's clean up sale.  Those were fixed on the page using some E6000 glue.
