Hello everyone!  I'm here this month with all masculine makes!!!  I know right?!? (yeah same start from last post lol) but it's true!!! It's rare that I did Art by Mi Ran male pieces!!! This is my very last post on the showcase !  I am leaving Art by Mi Ran.  Sad but at the same time I thought it was time.  Not sure that my stuff is up to all the fab work I see on here :)  I'm feeling that I'm totally fortunate to have been able to be here from the beginning and have been with this totally AMAZING group of artists!!!  And the most fabulous of them all is Mi Ran!  So sweet and generous with her time and advice.  LOVE HER and totally will be continuing to follow her and make stuff with her art. Anyway enough before I start crying here.... My last make is a playful one for my little nephew's b-day that is coming up.  I thought that   Jammin Jayden  would be perfect for him. I used a lot of left over papers that I had in my stash.

Well I am happy to report that I like this month theme for the showcase for Art by Mi Ran  a WHOLE lot better lol.  It's all about tags and those I can manage.  Of course, seriously you can manage pretty much everything with Art of Mi Ran images but I still like making those a whole lot more than box cards.... Here's the image that I worked with   Sassy Sandra .  I'm not quite sure yet what I will be using her for but I knew that I wanted her to be kinda vintage. And I'm quite happy with the result.  I really went Shabby chic with this one.

OMG I don't know where time is going but fall is already at our door soon.  And that means that Christmas will soon be around.... yikes I know.  But that also means that if I want my Christmas present done I have to get cracking because this year I decided to make a lot of calendars.  They seem to be quite popular and it's something that is useful.  I really want to be able to give gifts that will be of some use to people. Of course that also means that I might be doing months that are not in fashion just in order to get my months done lol.  This time around the digi that I chose was just perfect for this time of year.  It's the fab   Maple .  And since the showcase theme of Art by Mi Ran for the month of August was about warm colors I thought it was even better! Well the new showcase challenge for us over at Art by miran  is Cool colors.  I don't  know for you but to me that means pale and blues.... so that's what I tried to use for this make.  I'm still trying to do other things than cards so for this I made a postcard that is being used in a swap over at International crafters over on FB :) The image that I used is  Tessa .  I really love how she looked for this! Our challenge in the swap was to use all sorts of materials we had received in previous swaps and that's what I did here.   The flowers the border and the embossed paper are all from previous swap.  I added the bling and the sentiment that's from  Create with TLC  and that was cut using my Nellie's ovals. I colored this sweet little image with my copics.  And I think she was just perfect for this.  What do you think?!? I'm entering this little postcard in the following challenges:

Afternoon Aileen - Art by Mi Ran

Image
Well the new showcase challenge over at Art By Mi Ran  is anything but a square card!  And if you have followed me you know that I'm working on a coffee altered children book.  This was a great occasion to do something on this. The image that I used is  Afternoon Aileen .  She was just perfect for my little book! I used a new paint call Verday Paint on this to make it look like metal  on some left over scrounge up papers from a box.  I used some prima chalk all around the page to give a bit of a distressed look.  I used my spellbinder large circle to cut out the sentiment.  The sentiments come from  Create with TLC I colored this sweet little image with my copics.  And I think she was just perfect for this.  What do you think?!? I'm going to be entering this little book in some challenges later on. Hope you have a great Wednesday. Hugs

Cocktail Anne - Art by Mi Ran

Image
Well the new showcase challenge over at Art By Mi Ran  for us is anything but a square card!  So I thought this would be the perfect time to work on my vacation smash book.  Last year I did all the page while camping... but that was stressful to have to find embellishments for them.  This year I'm thinking that I will embellish a bunch ahead of time. The image that I used is  Cocktail Anne  and I thought she would be totally perfect for a vacation smash book.  She doesn't get much more vacation than that! I used a bunch of Project life cards to make a story to go with her and I think I did manage to make this quite the summer book!

Dreaming of spring - Art by Mi Ran inspiration

Image
It's spring here!  Finally it's been pretty cold last week but this week it's better and what a perfect image to use for a card right now right?!? The image that I used is  Dreaming of spring  and I thought she would be totally perfect for a little thank you card! For this card I made again another flower by hand.  I made the center as well and I'm really happy with the result.  Since it was big I left the rest of the card fairly CAS because I really wanted the great image to have the attention.

Cowgirl Bonnie - Art by Mi Ran

Image
Big hello to everyone!  Hope all is well in your part of the world.  I'm doing again a little monochromatic card for the Art by Mi Ran Inspiration post .  I figured it's fun to challenge myself :) I really didn't know what sentiment to use with  Cowgirl Bonnie  and then I had one made just for this image!  I think it's just perfect for her. Somehow to me it's a lot easier to make a cowgirl monochromatic.... don't know if you think so but to me that screams browns and such.
