OSAAT Challenge #136

Image
This time at One stitch at a time challenge  our challenge is a really easy one!  It's use a Digi, how easy is that?!?  And our wonderful sponsor is Joanna Sheen. For this card I had the opportunity to work with Witch 1 from Ikes World.  Such a fabulous image. For this card I used paper from DCWV - midnight spell.  I used Label 14 and Label 11 both from Spellbinder.  I often seem to pair those 2 sets of labels together...  I added a ribbon that I purchased at Michaels and a charm from my stash. Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored using my copics.  I also added some Black soot distress ink to the edge. Here's a look at the wonderful sentiment from Create with TLC .  Thought it was perfect with this card. You just have to go and check out the wonderful creations from the other DT at One stitch at a time challenge .  Some fabulous work.  And I really hope you join us for the fun challenge. I'm entering this card in the following chal

Dia de los muertos

Good evening everyone!  Well it's evening here anyway... and it's getting dark earlier and earlier... I like the change of colors of the leaves but hate having to pick them up and most of all to know that winter is coming at our doorstep! I've been meaning to play at Smudgy antics all week!!!!!  And I'm at a few hours of the challenge expiration. I thought I had lots of time today but since my hubby is gone to his dad's house I had to do all of the cleaning and grocery shopping by myself... as well as the cooking and preparation for the week.  And to make matters worse, I started a laundry load to find out my 1 year old washing machine was giving me this god awful code.  Since hubby dearest was away (and why do these things happen when I'm alone?!?) I did some research on the net to find out that it's possibly the electronic board!!!!  YIKES that sounded expensive but most of all I had to wash the clothes!!!!  So I followed one of the tricks mentioned wh

Guylou's inimitability challenge guest spot

Image
Wooohooo I'm sooooo excited.  Today I get to be a guest designer at Guylou's inimitability .  I had won about a month ago with my card "I'm sorry" and when Guylou asked if I wanted to be a guest designer, of course I jumped on the opportunity! This time around the challenge is about a recipe.. 1,2,3 can you scare me.  Well the recipe was not that hard use 1 ribbon, 2 embellishments and 3 deco papers... what was hard was choosing an image in the cute selection that I could make scary lol.  They are sooo cute... hard to imagine scary... but then I saw this one and started to have some ideas.  So I made my card using Cat and the fish.  I figured the fish must be scared :D To make this card I used paper from Tersa collins - Haunted Hallows as well as DCWV - midnight spell.  I used my label 22 for the paper under the digi.  I used my cracked embossing folder from Tim Holtz to add some texture.  I used my maped fish bone punch and made a little pile of bones.

Papelitos challenge # 16

This week at Papelitos stamps  our challenge is about witches!  So time to pull out your cute or scary witches.  You should really go and check out the wonderful selection that is available at Papelitos stamps .  I sooooo looooove their stamps! For my card I used the wonderful Ursula.  Just looove her :D The paper that I used comes from Authentique glowing as well as from DCWV - Midnight spell.  I used quite a lot of dies on this card here's the list: Label 28, rose creation, classic rectangle - all from Spellbinder, Floral vine from Memory box, Dee's distinctively wreath builder.  I colored Ursula with my copics and added some seedless preserve distress inks all around the digi and the sentiment. Here's a closer look at the flower that I created with some left over papers :D  Just loooove that and will try to do it more.  I used a wood skewer to bend the leaves a bit... The wonderful sentiment comes from Ginger House.  I really love that saying with that
